Each item is hand made of molten glass, cut, polished, and signed by the name of the artist or designer. Although Z folio is physically located in the United States, Michael and I have a close relationship to the Czech Republic. I was born and raised in Bohemia, surrounded by its culture and traditions, and I take delight in connecting the glassmakers with those who admire their work. Michael, a documentary filmmaker and writer, has visited the country many times and very much enjoys meeting the designers and artists, discussing with them the creative process and selecting the most unique, dynamic and playful works.
