Michael Mendizza-Journey Limited Edition Print-ZM9454-JOURNEY-LE
This is a stunning blending of rich color, repeated shapes and light. Graphic vertical images are rare, especially with this abundant splash of color. This is a statement piece for that alcove or next to a reading chair. Do place a light on it and watch it steal the show.

Limited Edition Photographs are printed when you place your order and will ship within 10 to 14 days.

How to Choose Your Image: The entire image library found in the Fine Art category is available for custom printing and mounting. All images are archival quality and printed in house. Once you have chosen which image you will need to decide on the size, media and mounting.

Size: Your first choice will be the size of the image. Ask yourself where the image will be placed and measure the optimum width. The height is automatically calculated based on the proportions of the image.

Media & Mounting: Your second choice will be which print media you prefer and how you would like to have it mounted. When making these choices take into account the subject of the photograph, where it will be placed and the emotional feeling the finished piece will generate.

Canvas Giclée prints have a surface texture which is rich, warm and non-reflective. The most popular mounting option is the Gallery Wrap, where the canvas is stretched with the image wrapping around the sides. Or you may order the canvas Unmounted and make the decision with your local framer.

Semi-Gloss Photographic Paper is a wonderful option for contemporary images. The paper may be mounted to one-half inch foam board which is ready to hang or frame at a later date. You may also order the image Unmounted.

High-Gloss Chrome Paper offers the most dramatic look. The Archival Photographic Paper is covered with ultra High-Gloss Chrome laminate which is heat sealed over the photographic image. This option is only available mounted to one-half inch foam board and may be hung as is or framed depending on room decor.

Michael Mendizza

Michael is an author, educator, documentary filmmaker and founder of Touch the Future, a nonprofit learning design center. He is the author of two books: Magical Parent-Magical Child, the Art of Joyful Parenting, co-authored with Joseph Chilton Pearce, applies research on optimum states to parenting and to education and Flowering, a collection of dramatic floral images and quotes by Krishnamurti.

His visual arts began early. Being mildly dyslexic as a child symbolic language was challenging. Compensating he picked up a camera at age twelve and began his photographic carrier. His technical skills were sharpened working in high school and college in a local retail camera store and shot weddings on weekends. This lead to a degree in film, television and theater which evolved into independent documentary production throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, North Africa and India.

His current photography portfolio emerged from the simple and personal pleasure of just taking pictures. Then large format printers became available and he could go big, something he always wanted to do but the cost was prohibited. Now it’s not. Opening the gallery provided walls for display and a steady audience. With some amazement others loved the images he loved and here we are.

It is the composition, a way of seeing that shapes his style, often relying on pattern, shape, implied movement, texture and dramatic natural lighting. The Zen-Garden seascapes are especially unique. A precise combination of shutter speed and time of day, moments after the sunsets, creates a paintbrush effect that captures the energy and movement of the ocean, contrasted to stationary rocks. This is, in fact, what the Zen Garden represents, raked sand being the ocean moving effortlessly around rocks, a philosophy and a peaceful way of life.
