Almost art deco, this Stephen Schlanser original is simply stunning. Lightly jade colored glass is slumped in a classic form. Alternating wave patterns are etched in a center ring. Some of the best designs are that simple. Stephen has been making stained glass as well as slumped, etched and sandblasted glass for years. Each design starts from a piece of sheet glass which is carefully shaped inside a closed kiln after being heated to a melting temperature. After each one is allowed to cool, it is etched, hand cut and polished.

Nova Bowl in Jade Glass - Available in three sizes: Small, Medium and Large - Thick walled bowl in light jade color Kiln-Fired Plate Glass with sandblasted design inspired by a Nova star. A Nova star is a star which suddenly increases its light output - SMALL measures approximately 10cm tall by 25.5cm in diameter (4 inches tall by 10 inches in diameter), MEDIUM measures approximately 10cm tall by 40.5cm in diameter (4 inches tall by 20 inches in diameter), and LARGE measures approximately 10cm tall by 51cm in diameter (4 inches tall by 16 inches in diameter). Sizes are approximate and will vary.
